AI & translation
Puff says: Found a weird sentence in your language? Tell us. We'll fix it.
We use generative AI to translate the in-game text of our games into different languages.
We're a small group of friends. We'd love to hire a translator for every language, but we can't. Generative AI lets people play our games in their own language much earlier than we could manage otherwise. We'd rather tell you that clearly than let you guess.
What it means in practice
- TheSeed: the interface, tutorial, stage names, upgrades and achievements are available in 25 languages. These translations were produced with generative AI.
- Bullet Factory: the game text is available in English and French.
- The AI translations have not yet been reviewed by native speakers. We checked that the text fits on screen and that the characters display correctly in some languages (for example Japanese, Thai and German), but that's not the same as a proper review.
- Some of the newest texts may still be waiting for their translation.
So you may find sentences that sound stiff, a wrong word, or a joke that didn't survive the trip. That's on us, not on your language.
Help us fix it
If something reads wrong in your language, we really want to know. Our contact address opens soon (see the contact page). When you write, please include:
- the game and the language,
- where the text appears (menu, tutorial, a stage name, an upgrade...),
- what it says now, and what it should say if you know.
A screenshot helps a lot, you can describe it in words too. We fix reported translations in the next build. If you're a native speaker and would like to review a whole language, tell us. We'd be very happy to credit you.
