Island Crusade: a new logo, and something under the sea
A golden sword now falls from the sky at every new crusade, and below the sea a dark mirror of the kingdom is waiting. Still in development.
Island Crusade has a new logo, drawn pixel by pixel: the title in gold, and under it the same title upside down, rippling in a sea of blood. That reflection is not just decoration.
When a crusade stalls and you start a new one, a giant golden sword now falls from the sky. The island breaks into stars, and for a moment the hundred islands hang in the night as a constellation.
The first time it happens, the sword cracks the world open. Below the sea lies the Underside: the same kingdom, only darker, with ashen ground, corrupted monsters and a sea of blood. A second army of black knights lands there and fights at the same time as your crusade. You switch between the two worlds in a blink, and the other one keeps going in a corner of the screen. Its bosses drop Black Blood, which buys dark powers that help both armies.
The Underside is still in development. It runs in our test builds, not in a released game, and the balance will move. We've refreshed the screenshots on the game page so you can see where things are.
