Press kit
Everything you need to write about us or our games. Use what you want, credit "MagicalWind", and please don't stretch the pixel art (whole-number scaling only, nearest neighbour).
Puff says: Use my good side. They're both good sides.
The studio
Short description
MagicalWind is a small collective of friends making small indie games, currently TheSeed and Bullet Factory.
Long description
MagicalWind is a small indie studio run by a collective of friends. We make small pixel-art games and test them a lot, with friends and with robots. Our first two games, TheSeed (a calm game about growing a universe from one carbon atom) and Bullet Factory (a factory game where you design absurd bullets for turrets that defend a wall), are in development. We use generative AI to translate the in-game text of our games into other languages.
Logos and Puff
Pixel art: scale by whole numbers only, with nearest-neighbour. The zip has every logo at 1x, 4x, 8x and 16x, plus Puff's sprite sheet, its frame list and the three palettes.
TheSeed
Short description
A calm game about growth. One carbon atom becomes grains, rocks, planets and giants, then a star that collapses or a quiet garden of worlds.
Long description
You start with a single carbon atom drifting in the dark. Matter passes by. You catch the pieces that fit, brake the ones that are too hot, dodge the ones that would break you, and slowly something grows.
Thirty stages later you have built either a star that ends as a black hole, or a family of moons circling a giant planet. Which one depends on a choice you make around stage 23, and you can go back and try the other path later.
It's a slow, relaxing game, but not one you can forget in a tab: the bar moves faster when you play, and the universe likes to throw small surprises at you.

Bullet Factory
Short description
One morning the scrap in the Great Junkyard started to walk. Turn it into bullets before it turns you into scrap.
Long description
One morning, the scrap in the Great Junkyard started to walk. One factory is still standing, and Granny Odette, 87, retired welder, has just left it to you. "I'm retiring, not hanging up my helmet." She stays on the radio to give advice, or at least to comment.
It starts with a press that makes bullets and a belt that carries them to the wall. At the end, a turret fires whatever it gets. In between, you decide: every machine a bullet goes through changes it. Fire, a seeker head, an explosive tip, a prism that splits it in three. Each bullet wears its recipe, and the fancy ones get a rarity and a name of their own.
Nothing is free, though. Every pass through a booster costs impact damage, so you keep asking yourself the same question: one very special bullet, or lots of plain ones?
